What they're up to in Coral Springs

Coral Springs is situated within the Everglades, making working with the Everglades Restoration Movement a project that truly impacts the community directly. So that's what our Coral Springs office has opted to do for Labor Day in May. On May 15th, Rob Carr, Denise Coller, David Ham, Jim Hill, Breann Kaestler, Cindy Kaestler and Erika and Larry Kaplan will be heading out to the swamp to help rebuild a vital, protective piece of our nation's land.

Ordinarily, I'd tell you a little about the history and famous people of the city here, but Coral Springs is a young town, having just been established in 1963, and isn't exactly replete with tales of settlers and firsts for the nation. That's alright, though, because it still ranks pretty high for livability. The city recently received the esteemed Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. It's known for being a "green" city and has a delightfully low crime rate. Their name is slightly misleading; there are no springs in Coral Springs but they do have that cool covered bridge you see here. It was the town's very first structure. Just outside Coral Springs you'll find the largest butterfly park in the world. I'm reasonably certain it's the park that's so big, not the butterflies.
